Abstract

Buddha was the pinnacle of social revolution. He did promote not only religion but also set a new value standard for an advanced and healthy society. He not only gave the right direction to the progressive ideas but also broke the stagnation and initiated a complete change. Uncovering his significant contribution is the need of this hour in the context of social revolution. Only by doing this will we be able to build a healthy society. Buddha preached an egalitarian society. He preached that there is disparity where there is anger, aversion, hatred, and attachment. And thus, the root of all problems is attachment, hate, and anger. Guided by selfish interest, a person displays ego, tries to humiliate others, or tries to grab power and wealth- and as a result, stays in the disparity.
